Choose a frame tent by install speed, span and look. Our three frame lines share the same core materials, and Aspen clearspan is a different structure altogether, so the decision is rarely about metal. It comes down to three questions: how fast your crew needs to put it up, how far it has to span, and what the client expects it to look like.
Which frame tent should I choose?
Start with the constraint that matters most on your jobs:
- General rental inventory: Standard Frames. The most used tent in the rental, commercial and events industry.
- Install labour is the bottleneck: Fast-Top Frames. No perimeter buckles, tension ratchets included.
- The look has to sell the job: Denali Peak. A high-peak top with no poles in the center of the tent.
- The span is wider than 40′, or the install is long-term: Aspen Structures. Clearspan, engineered to 70 mph wind, fully re-locatable.

What is the difference between the lines?
Standard Frames: the baseline
Standard Frames come in one-piece and expandable styles, in widths from 10′ to 40′. One-piece tops are a fixed size. Expandable tops are split, so you can add middle sections in 5′, 10′, 15′ and 20′ increments and build to the length the job needs.
The frames and expandable frames include all the fittings, pipe and assembly pins. Expandable frames also include the “crown” for the square sizes and the expanded sizes.
Choose Standard Frames when the job is ordinary and your crew already knows the system. It is the line every other line is measured against.
Fast-Top Frames: fewer buckles, faster installs
Fast-Top Frames belong to the same frame family with a different way of tensioning the top. Instead of perimeter buckles they use a catenary tensioned valance, so the fabric pulls tight at the leg point. At the curve we sew webbing with a 750 lbs breaking strength to provide stability and tension and avoid water pockets.
Fast-Top frames ship with the foot bases and tension ratchets. They come in one-piece and expandable styles, so a single 30×30 converts into a 30×40 or 30×50, and a 20×20 into a 20×30 or 20×40.
Choose Fast-Top when install labour is the constraint on how many jobs you can run.
Denali Peak: the high-peak look
Denali Peak is our high-peak line. It uses fewer poles and fittings than a standard frame and has no poles in the center of the tent. Tops come one-piece or two-piece expandable, with no webbing or buckles, and attach to the frame with ratchet tensioners to special foot-bases.
Widths run from 10′ to 40′, with 7′, 8′ and 10′ leg heights. All 20′, 30′ and 40′ widths use a midspan buckle tension that keeps the roof tensioned to the frame and eliminates water pockets. Stripes come vertical, horizontal, or as a detachable accent stripe.
Choose Denali Peak when the tent’s appearance is part of what the client is paying for.
Aspen Structures: clearspan for wide and long-term jobs
Aspen is our “A” shape clearspan structure, designed for short- and long-term applications. The beams are a hollow rectangular design made from extruded, corrosion-resistant, anodized 6061T6 structural aluminum. Aspen Structures are engineered to 70 mph wind, fully re-locatable, and have no center poles.
Bays come in 10′, 15′ and 20′, and structures run from 20′ up to 120′ main panels. Fabric is 16 to 18 oz laminated PVC vinyl in blackout, with 22 oz coated available. All Aspen fabrics are certified flame retardant by the California State Fire Marshal and treated for UV degradation and mildew resistance.
Choose Aspen for storage, warehousing, pavilions, festival and stadium builds, and any span a frame tent cannot reach.
What is the same across the frame lines?
This removes a false decision. Across Standard Frames, Fast-Top and Denali Peak:
- Frames are 6061T6 aluminum tubing, commercial clear anodized
- Fittings are 1¼″ Sch40 steel pipe, zinc plated
- Stakes are optional, specified as 1″ × 42″ double head
- Colors and translucent vinyl are available on request
Top fabric differs slightly by line. Standard Frames tops are 14 to 16 oz vinyl in white blackout or translucent, 1000 denier, with mildew resistance, UV protection and flame retardant, and the fabric is compatible with flame retardant code NFPA 701. Fast-Top and Denali Peak tops are specified as 16 oz white blackout, flame retardant.
If someone tells you one of these frame lines is built from better metal than another, they are selling, not specifying.
Which line suits a rental fleet?
Most of our customers are rental companies, and most fleets end up with more than one line:
- Standard Frames as general inventory.
- Fast-Top Frames where install labour limits how many jobs you can take.
- Denali Peak where appearance wins the booking.
- Aspen Structures for the jobs a frame tent cannot span.
Expandable tops make the frame lines go further, because one purchase covers several footprints. See frame tent sizes explained for how the sections work.
What we do not publish
Two things buyers ask about constantly that we have not published, and that we will not estimate here:
- Wind ratings for the frame lines. The 70 mph figure is published for Aspen Structures only. It does not transfer to Standard Frames, Fast-Top or Denali Peak.
- Leg heights outside Denali Peak. 7′, 8′ and 10′ are Denali Peak figures. Do not assume them for the other lines.
