Standard Frames and Denali Peak run from 10′ to 40′ wide. Width is fixed by the frame you choose. Length is where the flexibility lives, and it depends on whether you buy a one-piece or an expandable top.
What sizes do frame tents come in?
Across Standard Frames and Denali Peak, widths run from 10′ to 40′. Length depends on the top:
- One-piece tops are a fixed size. What you order is what it stays.
- Expandable tops are split, and accept middle sections that extend the length to the size the job needs.
For spans wider than 40′, a frame tent is the wrong tool. That is where our Aspen clearspan structures take over, covered at the end of this guide.
One-piece or expandable: which should you buy?
One-piece tops
A one-piece top is simpler. There are fewer seams and nothing extra to store.
Buy one-piece when the size is a known, repeating requirement, such as a standard footprint your customers book again and again.
Expandable tops
An expandable top is split, and accepts middle sections that extend the length. On Standard Frames, the sections come in 5′, 10′, 15′ and 20′ increments and attach at the seams with lace, clips (male/female) or plastic buckles, plus a weatherproof storm flap, and we will match the attachment system your current inventory uses.
Buy expandable when one inventory line has to cover a range of jobs, or when you expect requirements to grow.
How do expandable tops change the length?
Adding middle sections is what lets one purchase cover several jobs:

What ships with the frame?
Standard Frames and Fast-Top frames, and their expandable versions, include all the fittings (connections), pipe and assembly pins. Expandable frames also include the “crown” for the square sizes and the expanded sizes. Fast-Top frames additionally include the foot bases and tension ratchets.
Stakes are optional, specified as 1″ × 42″ double head. Replacement fittings and pipe, base plates, adjustable bases, stake-bars and ratchet tension straps are all available from our accessories list.
How do I spec an order without the exact size?
You do not need a final dimension to start. Tell us the span you need to cover and how the space gets used, and we will work the line and configuration back from there. What helps most:
- The footprint you are covering, even approximately
- Whether the length requirement is fixed or likely to change
- Whether the tent will be stored and re-erected repeatedly
- The surface: turf, asphalt, concrete or decking
How many guests fit in a frame tent?
We do not publish occupancy or capacity per size, and we will not estimate it here. Planning figures vary with layout, and occupancy is set by your local fire authority, not by the tent manufacturer. Ask your local authority having jurisdiction for the number that applies to your event.
What we can tell you is the footprint. On Standard Frames, pick the width from 10′ to 40′, then build the length with middle sections.
What leg heights are available?
Leg heights of 7′, 8′ and 10′ are published for Denali Peak. They do not transfer to Standard Frames or Fast-Top Frames, and we have not published leg heights for those lines. Ask us for the figure for your configuration.
What about liners?
Our tent liners are available in 10′, 15′, 20′, 30′, 40′ and 50′ sizes, one piece or expandable, in flat or pleated finish. They install with Velcro loops, are polyester flame retardant, and matching leg drapes are also available. A variety of colors is available on request.
What if I need more than 40 feet?
When the span exceeds what a frame tent covers, the answer is Aspen Structures, our “A” shape clearspan line. Bays come in 10′, 15′ and 20′, and structures run from 20′ up to 120′ main panels. They are engineered to 70 mph wind, fully re-locatable, and have no center poles.
